Finishing a run outside through the trails or toughing out a rowdy spin class is something to feel happy about. Research has even shown that it can boost mood and help with depression. 


Rely on workouts for your self-worth

Remember to approach workouts with curiosity, but ditch the judgement on what you find out. Following an Organic Fitness method means you know your body changes during it's cycle and that it's normal to have times when you can do more and times when it's just not there. And that's without considering stress, sleep, or nutrition. Using workouts as “proof” of how hardcore or dedicated you are can lead to feeling you’re failing. You cannot fail when you use Organic Fitness as your guide.

Be aware of hunger

Excessive cardio can lead to insatiable hunger and cravings due to increases in stress hormones, particularly cortisol, which can lead to a vicious cycle of doing more cardio, feeling hungrier, eating more, and then doing more cardio because you ate more. If you’re caught up in this pattern, slowly dial back your exercise volume and monitor your hunger and cravings along the way


Use exercise as Punishment

Doing a workout as type of purge or penance because you are unhappy about your food choices or you're feeling bloated or whatever is going on, will not help you create a kickass life. Organic Fitness teaches us that there will be times within each cycle when our body naturally craves different kinds of food and indulging can be part of a healthy lifestyle.
